Autism and identity is a 7 week course to help adults who have been newly diagnosed with high functioning autism to come to terms and understand their diagnosis.

The course is run in partnership between Assert and the Neurobehavioral Clinic (Sussex Partnership Trust).

Group participants will increase awareness of their unique ‘lived experience’ of autism and gain strategies for coping with the particular stressors of living with Autism.

It aims to provide group participants with an accurate understanding of Autism and develop stress management skills to cope with everyday life and use local resources.

Group participants will also hear about the experiences of others with Autism Spectrum Conditions

Emotions Untangled is an 8 week course specifically for adults with high functioning autism or Asperger’s syndrome.

The course is run in partnership between Assert and the Neurobehavioral Clinic (Sussex Partnership Trust).

Its aim is to help Autistic people to develop their skills in understanding and interpreting their emotions and those of others.

This course will help to increase resilience, well-being and confidence.

The course itself is not therapy; it is education and coaching.
