Assert Training

Assert (B&H) are a grassroots registered charity who are able to provide specialist training on High-Functioning Autism (HFA) and Asperger syndrome (AS) in Brighton & Hove and surrounding areas.

Participants are given a user-friendly insight into how adults with autism experience the modern world. Our training is very accessible and is suitable for those with varying levels of experience. Our sessions are presented clearly and with passion. We aim to tailor our presentation to your needs. Attendees are equipped with introductory yet robust skills which can be applied in the service/workplace quickly and easily. At the end of the training, we believe that those involved will feel much more confident in enabling individuals with autism to fulfil their potential and feel as comfortable as possible. We also explore the challenges that one faces as an adult with autism such as social communication, social interaction, dealing with change/transition, issues with sensory stimuli and more.

Assert is a user-led charity and as such, much of our training has been developed by individuals on the autistic spectrum. We are proud to challenge media stereotypes and highlight the positives of embracing neuro-diversity.
